Harbor

The week of October 30 - November 5, 2011

  • Pray for Pastor Cara, Pastor Steve, theStewardship Ministry Team and the FinanceMinistry Team who are leading us as we pull outof the harbor on our journey to be God¡¦s servantsin the world.
  • Offer thanksgiving and gratitude for the privilege each of us has of being a part of a fellowship, North Canton Faith United Methodist Church, where the Spirit of God is so warm and alive.
  • Pray that Faith UMC would maintain a spiritual focus during both the Faith for Today and Faith for Tomorrow Campaigns.
  • Pray that you will be open to the leading of the Spirit as you consider your participation as a crew member in Faith for Today 2012 Annual Giving Campaign and the Faith for Tomorrow Fund Drive. How will you share in the opportunity to provide the resources needed as we leave the harbor, sail the seas and look to the horizon?
  • Pray for Trudy as she prepares and teaches lessons on Christian stewardship to our children and youth.
  • Pray for those who will be in prayer for the church membership during the months of October and November.
  • Pray for our Kick-Off Sunday November 6th - for the successes of Faith for Today and Faith for Tomorrow. That we will have a spirit of deep love for God who is able to do far more abundantly than all we ask or think.

HIGH SEAS

The week of November 6 - 12, 2011

  • Offer thanksgiving and praise that we are Galilean Christians - giving out as freely and readily as we take in. We know byliving in this way we will be as healthy and joyous as Goddesires us to be.
  • Pray that each of us will be receptive to the invitation to participate in both the Faith for Today 2012 Annual Giving Campaign which supports our church Operating Budget [including thebudget of the 11 Ministry Teams and countless Ministry Groups], and the Faith for Tomorrow Fund Drive which will allow us to continue to be faithful to God in our future ability to be in mission and ministry.
  • Pray to God for the desire to put Him first in your life.
  • Pray for Faith UMC as it embarks on this exciting journey to the high seas, Faith for Today and Faith for Tomorrow. May God help us to live out what it is 'to be' the Kingdom of God - love, peace, faith and hope for all.
  • Thank God for being the source of all that you have and all that you are.

HORIZON

The week of November 13-20, 2011

  • Thank God for helping you be a mature disciple as you meet the daily challenge to follow faithfully, to share gratefully, to live responsibly and to possess loosely.
  • Pray for our congregation to 'catch sight of' and 'participate in' what God has for us, Faith UMC, on the horizon - with united hearts, devoted spirits and sacrificial financial giving.
  • Offer thanksgiving that whether we are riding the waters of stillness or storm God sustains us, Jesus transforms us, and the Spirit guides and comforts us.
  • Pray for Consecration Sunday November 20th. Pray for each person who is attending and for each person who has a part in the Worship Services. That they would find delight in growing God's Kingdom. May we all be thankful for the blessings God has given us so we can be a blessing to others.
  • Ask God to help you be more intentional about honoring Him with your finances as you scan the horizon to perceive the new thing to which God is calling you at Faith Church; as well as, beyond our worship and fellowship.
