DOORSTEP MINISTRY TEAM

"We're so glad that you visited Faith Church and we hope to see you again!" That is the message of our doorstep ministry as we drop off information about Faith Church to recent visitors. Our purpose is to make personal contacts with visitors and welcome prospective members. If you have time available and are willing to represent our congregation in a positive way, contact outreach@faithumchurch.org.

 

PEACE WITH JUSTICE

United Methodists have a long and rich history of engagement on issues of social concern. The Peace with Justice team aims to make "Shalom" visible and active in people's lives and communities. We support issues regarding the welfare, wellbeing and safety of people in the community and throughout the world. The church has called us to strengthen its capacity to act as a public policy advocate by speaking out on issues such as peace, poverty, hunger, health and human rights. NEW MEMBERS

This task group fulfills the overall vision and goals of Faith United Methodist Church by welcoming those who wish to become members of our Faith Community and providing opportunities for new members to grow spiritually and be stewards for God. We are always looking for volunteers, if you are interested contact us at outreach@faithumchurch.org.

 

WELCOME CREW

We seek to build relationships with visitors in our community by showing Christ's love and joy to all. We provide a friendly welcome, information and directions to visitors on Sundays before the 9:45 and 11 a.m. services. Volunteers are always needed, if you are familiar with the church layout and like to say "hello" to fellow members, contact us at outreach@faithumchurch.org.

 

COMMUNICATIONS

The purpose of the Outreach Ministry area is to provide information about missions we support and outreach activities in our church, community and world. We will provide information about ongoing support to our missionaries around the world, local service and mission activities and current opportunities of giving as well as opportunities for involvement in support groups within our church.
 


2010 Vacation Bible School

July 19-23, 2010

High Seas Expedition is filled with incredible Bible learning that kids see, hear, touch, and even taste. These activities will help faith flow into real life. We’ll discover how to see God in everyday life with God Sightings. Our mission projects are Pennies for Paraguay and boxed cereal for Faith Kitchen. Kids going into grades 5 and 6 will have their own “High Seas Survivor Challenge.”  Don’t miss the adventure!

FUMC Celebrates Pentecost

On May 23rd, Faith UMC celebrated Pentecost and Heritage Day with a combined worship service.  The worship service was followed by a group picture and a luncheon prepared by Cookery volunteers.  435 people attended the single service and 77 Faith Challenge response cards were consecrated.  Praise God!
