Open to everyone. The session begins with prayer, followed by the daily American Bible Society readings. Your are never behind, as we reread the previous week's daily assignments and review and consider their message.

We have witnessed dramatic market losses, the collapse of the world's largest insurance company, the largest Savings and Loan failure in banking history, and numerous bankruptcies and mergers. Every day seems to bring another piece of economic uncertainty." Popular United Methodist pastor, Adam Hamilton, addresses this economic climate in his latest book. This 5-session study will use excerpts from the book, video footage of Hamilton, and discussion material provided by the facilitator. Come explore many of the dimensions fo the current economic crisis and look for the Christian interpretation and insight. (Book $10)
Women's Home Study Living Beyond Yourself: Exploring the Fruit of the Spirit
Begins 09/22 in a member's home. 6:30 p.m.
Through this study you'll come to appreciate the supernatural aspects fo the fruit you cannot grow, learn, or produce on your own. Author Beth Moore challenges women to develop the fruit by maintaining an intimate relationship with the Spirit of God. Workbook is $15. New women always welcome.

Bible Study Invitation to the New Testament - 16 Weeks
Began 09/09, from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. in Room 16. Open to everyone.
This short term Disciple Study focuses on how New Testament writers wrestled with the implications of the story of Jesus for their lives and communities of faith. Daily reading and writing in addition to video segments and discussion in the group meetings.
Couples & Singles Study
Began 09/23, from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. in east parlor. Open to all couples and singles interrested in strong faith-centered relationships. Wednesday night program childcare provided.
Using a sermon series by Mark Driscoll called The Peasant Princess, the group studies the love songs in the Old Testament book "The Song of Songs." Through the sermon and the cartoon story, learn about gender, dating, marriage and sex as God intends. Expect discussions to be frank, but not crass.
DivorceCare
Began 09/23, from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. in Room 5. Wednesday night program childcare is provided.
This class helps people recover from separation and divorce. Sessions center around videos taught by experts in a wide variety of topics. People who have been through divorce share their stories. The course takes a biblical approach to issues around divorce. It emphasizes that a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is the source for true healing. (Book $12)
M.O.M.S - Making Our Mothering Significant
Meets 2nd and 4th Thursdays, September through May from 9:15 - 11:00 a.m. in the east parlor. Childcare is provided. Open to mothers of all ages.
This group desires to develop supportive relationships, to learn form one another and to meet each other's needs through service in the love of Christ. Activities include the study of a book, as well as hearing different speakers from the community. Come as often as you can. Come as you are to see if this is the morning out that you desire.
Men's Life Study
Meets 2 Saturdays each month, 7:30 a.m. at the Portage Street IHOP.
Come for breakfast, fellowship and discussion. Currently, the group is reading the book Even Eagles Need a Push - The Power of Encouragement.
